4.5

Overall

A classic Victorian gastropub in Wandsworth with high ceilings, wooden floors and an open central bar. The kind of room that looks beautiful but makes no acoustic concessions. At busy times the crowd noise builds quickly and carries throughout. On this visit it was too loud to hold a conversation inside, with the bar itself difficult to hear across. Outside seating is the better option when the room is full. Worth checking before you book for anything that requires actual conversation.

"It was loud to sit inside. Could not hear the person at the bar when ordering. Ended up outside for drinks instead. Classic Victorian pub with hard floors and high ceilings that carry every sound. May vary at quieter times but peak hours this is a very loud room."
