Mama Pho

Overall
A compact Vietnamese café-restaurant in South Kensington with more seating than it first appears. Tables sit fairly close together, particularly along the walls, and the room is built almost entirely from hard surfaces. Music was only briefly noticeable before giving way to the steady hum of the air conditioning. During quieter periods, conversation is easy, especially near the open frontage. The compact layout and acoustics suggest the room could become considerably livelier during busy service. On warmer days, the outdoor tables are likely to be the best choice.

"Aircon was more noticeable than the music, which faded out early into the visit. Crowd was present but not overwhelming. Could follow conversation easily sitting side by side. My dining companion found it noisier than expected."
